Iguazú Falls - Brazil and Argentina

This is the place where everyone should have opportunity to go. I have never seen anything like this! It's Iguazú falls, huge waterfall in Argentina and Brazil. It took two days just to walk through both sides and enjoy the view which was breathtaking. Nature is so strong, it has huge mind-boggling effect on human being, or at least on me. Nature is so powerful, strong, independent, beautiful but extremely dangerous. Its power enthralls unspeakable much, makes you quiet and still, because there's no world to describe the beauty of it.The whole area was conservation area so there weren't any sign of people or their developed life. Of course there were paths so you could walk and see the falls, also little bridges. But nothing more. You couldn't see any trashes. Also the smoking was forbidden in the park. The air was so fresh and pure that it felt unnatural. You could smell the falls, feel it on your skin, be part of the nature.

The area was really big. I couldn't even understand how big. I took couple pictures from the internet where you can see the whole area (those are in the end of the post). It took 20 hours by bus to get to the falls so first I was thinking that I'm totally crazy, but it really was worth it. And the traveling is completely different here in Argentina than in Europe. I'm used to travel by train or by plain (because we have so cheap flights in Europe) but here you travel by bus. You can take different class in the bus, depending what services and what kind of seat you want. The luxury ones are more like beds, the cheaper ones more regular. You can sleep on the bus, watch movies, travel the whole night. And it's actually quite comfortable!

Falls had different kind of animals, but the most common was this funny but quite pretty animal, half of monkey and half of rat. Those wasn't scared at all, actually quite opposite! Sometimes those tried to find food from us and they came to your skin quite fast. But they were cute, so cute.

Before we headed back to Buenos Aires we stopped by to a "triangle river".  In this river there's three branches and in everyone you can see different country: Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. In the picture above I'm in a Argentine side and you can see Brazil and Paraguay. In the falls we took the boat trip under the falls. In the picture below you can see where we went.. It was amazing but also a little scary because waterfalls truly are extremely powerful! And we went really near to them, also get really wet :)!

When we were travelling back to Buenos Aires we had one quite big surprise on the way. We were travelling by the highway and suddenly we stopped. There were demonstration and the whole highway was closed. There were lots and lots of cars and buses, so no one could turn around. The demonstration was about teachers and their salaries. So we waited about four hours that they would let us go through. For me it was so weird. I can't imagine that it could happen in Finland. Our teachers on the highway, not letting anyone go through. People were carrying their luggage to the other side of the demonstration and tried to find a way to continue their journey which was quite hard because the highway was middle of nowhere. We had nothing to eat, nothing to drink, because we were supposed to go to eat lunch just after 20 km, but no one could have guessed that there could be the demonstration! Well, it was instructive experience. So the lesson is, always have at least 3 options in case that things will go wrong.. It's really good guide line in Argentina :D!
